Not a huge fan of Starbucks but in Japan they are truly different. The quality of the roasted bean is evident and they also offer a different menu than in America. My go to is the Triple Espresso Latte and it is the right balance of Espresso to Latte. The froth on top is rich and creamy.
We also tried the Blueberry Cheesecake which wasn't that good. It really isn't cheesecake. I know what traditional Japanese cheesecake tastes like and this isn't even reminiscent of that. Very sweet. The Blueberries on top are real though so 1 bonus points for that.
The atmosphere is really inviting. They have lots of seating and also outdoor seating that overlooks a small lake. If you get lucky like we did you will see some Nara deer grazing in front by the Starbucks entrance sign.
Overall if you are in the mood for coffee I could recommend this place. Once again I'm not a fan of Starbucks but this one is a bit different than the ones you may have experienced in other places...
