Not a huge fan of Starbucks but in Japan they are truly different. The quality of the roasted bean is evident and they also offer a different menu than in America. My go to is the Triple Espresso Latte and it is the right balance of Espresso to Latte. The froth on top is rich and creamy. We also tried the Blueberry Cheesecake which wasn't that good. It really isn't cheesecake. I know what traditional Japanese cheesecake tastes like and this isn't even reminiscent of that. Very sweet. The Blueberries on top are real though so 1 bonus points for that. The atmosphere is really inviting. They have lots of seating and also outdoor seating that overlooks a small lake. If you get lucky like we did you will see some Nara deer grazing in front by the Starbucks entrance sign. Overall if you are in the mood for coffee I could recommend this place. Once again I'm not a fan of Starbucks but this one is a bit different than the ones you may have experienced in other places around the world.

The girls working the day I came in were so friendly and nice!! We bonded over Ghibli things (my Jiji coin purse was making me a lot of friends hahaha) They even drew little Ghibli characters on my coffee label so I peeled it off to take home and add to my Japan scrapbook. One of the nice atmosphere and comfortable place to spend for your relux time in Nara city that I strongly recommend. I guess in comparison with other Starbucks shop, it is not very wide shop but in the shop, the sunshine through wide open window comes around or there's open cafe place are very useful. You can really relax with a your favorite cup of coffee. Lowest *290 JPY price are available for it which is sure worth. *By downloading free Starbucks application, charge then pay with it using your smartphone, you can get a discount coupon on the receipt for another 100 JPY cup of coffee in same day limit. You can get there on foot from Kintetsu Nara station or take a bus 5 min. Free car parking are available but busy on weekends. とても心地よく過ごせるスターバックスの店舗の一つ。 一杯290円のドリップコーヒーで過ごす時間は十分その価値があるように思えます。 近鉄奈良駅から歩いて30分程。もしくは奈良交通バスで5分程。 レシートを持って、旧JR奈良駅厩舎内のStarbucksへ行き、＊100円/一杯のお替りを頂きました。 ＊通常は150円/一杯。スターバックスアプリ(無料)でチャージ・支払いを行う事で割引特典を受ける事が可能に。
