Charcoal-grilled Chicken & Sake "Yamauchi-Nojou" Keisei-Narita Station — Restaurant in Narita

I arrived quite late, right when they were taking the last order. Taking to accout it was late and they had no more customers then, I didn't want to bother them too much so i hurriedly ordered a yakisoba thinking that it would not take too much of their time. (Most of the items on the menu are not for takeout) The food looked great, the waiter was understanding while taking my order and while I was paying at the cashier. I was happy... until I took my first bite. The food was SALTY. Unless this was a deliberate sabotage, i'd say someone dumped a cup of salt over the pan (..hopefully accidentally). The salty taste was not from the sauce, it was straight on salt, and I had to throw the dish away after a couple bites. I go to Japan every now and then, I had my share of Japanese food and I absolutely looooove yakisoba, so I know what it tastes like. I am not one to diligently leave comments much less negative ones, but this was too much. In any case, I do NOT recommend the yakisoba. You wont be able to finish it unless you enjoy adding tablespoons of salt...

Worst dining experience in Japan after two weeks of travel. Gaijin beware they do not give a damn about you. Food was slow and disgusting we left after waiting over a half an hour for things like mushrooms wrapped in bacon and a rice set with miso soup pickles.

We had the pleasure of paying a 400 yen table charge per person which included nothing. We got tuna and avocado with half rotten avocado and hardly any tuna.Then potato wedges which took over 20 mins and were still not fully cooked. Izakaya located next to Narita station. Food is prepared relatively quickly with the exception of hot pots and the like. There is a plethora of drinks to choose from (standard for an izakaya) and come out almost instantly. Prices are fair but are on the higher end of the spectrum.
