Created on 17th December 2022 Very bad service. They charge you double at front counter. Please visit if you want to be cheated. Bad image of Japan.
[Update on 19th December 2022] Despite that there is reply below. I believe that the potential customer are smart enough in observing the truth and whether the hotel is trustworthy at all. The reply is merely an excuse to get away from the hotel's own mistake, and it shows that how bad the hotel is in their public relation and service. I travel a lot, and stayed in almost all hotels around Narita Station, and this is the only hotel which I have found cheating the customer for their own good. So better avoid. The booking site didn't show that the customers have to show vaccine certificate at the front desk, nor the hotel email the customer to inform about this matter. Therefore, hotel should hold the responsibility for their mistake. Also, checking the policy of that discount this afternoon shows that vaccine certificate overseas and PCR negative certificate are also acceptable, which have not been mentioned by the front desk (which I am happy to share the audio record). Charging double at the front desk is no difference from cheating, which place the customer who has no other choice, to pay for their own mistake. Trustworthiness in Japan is generally good, but unfortunately, not...
Read moreWhen I arrived on the first day, the lady wearing glasses at the front desk was mean and rude, which gave me a very bad first impression of the hotel. The hotel once sent me an email saying that if I needed airport drop-off service, I must inform the front desk upon check-in. So, as soon as I arrived, I told her that I needed a drop-off service. However, she rolled her eyes at me, said that she only spoke Japanese but not English, and asked me to check the hotel website and solve the problem myself. It was ridiculous that she rejected me in English. I noticed a clear airport drop-off services note on her desk. Absolutely, she had no reason to refuse me the service immediately, and she should not have misled me into going online to completely resolve the issue myself. I was so tired when I arrived and had to deal with such poor service that I regretted booking this hotel at that moment! If she doesn't understand English, then she has no qualifications to work in a hotel that welcomes international guests! Fortunately, after she left, the other two male staff members who came to work were very nice and helped me solve the problem. I give their service 5 stars, but I have to deduct 1 star because of the bad behavior of the first girl. If I stay in this hotel next time, I don't want to...
Read moreI stayed at Meet in Narita on an overnight trip. I usually have great experiences at Japan hotels and never expected my stay to go as bad as it did. Check in was no problem and staff were very nice. The Wi-fi was okay and the room was clean. The hotel is conveniently located near the Keisei Narita train station. The problem with my room was that it was very warm. I tried multiple adjustments of the AC and it would not cool the room. I finally called the front desk and told them my AC wasn't working. The person at the desk apologized and explained that the AC temperature is set and not adjustable. He suggested I open my door. I'm sure he obviously meant my window. I did that and the room did cool down. But I was on a low floor and now it was so noisy from the street below. I was awoke several times with people from the bar downstairs talking loud. I ended up having a very poor night sleep. I'm not one to make the room cold. But it has to be cool at least. How can a hotel not have the temperature control adjustable? I regret staying at meet in and will never again. I usually stay at Richmond hotel across the street but wanted to try...
