This restaurant (I hesitate to call it an izakaya) has a pretty wide ranging menu. The parking is pretty sparse and it only seats probably 35 people max so be aware of that when planning to go here. We got some ponzus but apparently the bottle ran out halfway through one pour so they let us have another one on the house. All three that we tried were great. We got a wide range menu and pretty much all of it was pretty good. Even some more off the beaten path stuff like fried lotus root was good. My partner and I just got a bunch of plates and shared them. That seems to be the way to go. The zangi is especially good. Get at least two orders.

Karabina serves various kinds of dishes on offer from salads to stews. The space is nice and cosy. The restaurant opens early in the season in 2019's wintertime as well. While the price is a little pricey compared to elsewhere in Japan as expected for most of Niseko's F&B establishments but the quality is good and it is still one of the cheaper options compared to dining in a hotel/ resort.

This small Izakaya is right next door to Rakuichi Soba (same car park). Small quaint wooden Izakaya with limited seats (but have 2 big tables that can seat 8 pax) and a tiny staircase to go up. The potatoes, grilled fish, fried chicken and baguettes are the best. Sake clams are a letdown. Did not try the Stew but supposedly quite good.

Fabulous! The place is small and it feels like your entering someone’s tree house and it has this charm about it. Food was good. They have English menu although not very descriptive in food it was excellent House smoke mackerel or duck, chicken karage, clam soup with rice, it s like Japanese home food. Highly recommend this place.

A cozy, izakaya-like eatery that offers soul food, perfect for after a long day of skiing. The staff were friendly as well. The desserts were especially on point; we had the yuzu sorbet and the cheesecake. Do make reservations in advance; we were lucky to get the last two seats without a reservation.

I went to this Izakaya on my birthday and the staff were so friendly and they really made my day feel very special. We enjoyed incredible food, good service and amazing music 🪘 Their recommended items are all good choices! Make a reservation before showing up 😊 Thank you so much! ありがとうございました!
