We had to wait for near-by aquarium for a moment, so we stopped by this cafe. You have to go inside the huge oddly-shaped building. So we didn’t expect much, only some cute cafe with cats. But this was our best cat cafe so far not only in Japan, but overall! There were a lot of cute cats but mainly, there were super playful! The very kind and welcoming owners/employees made sure that we were accompanied by cats all the time. But again, it’s not like you are sitting in a chair and you are lucky if some cat will notice you. I didn’t even picked up the toy and there were already like 3 cats jumping at me. We even got some treats for the cats (for FREE!). And the mango juice was awesome. The owners also love model trains (as I could tell), so there is a very interesting track for small models of trains and a small model city around it (in which the cats are hiding or sleeping, super cute!). Overall for us, this is a hidden gem with welcoming staff, a lot of playful cats and a great drinks. 10/10 experience and we recommend visiting this cafe while you are waiting for the aquarium entrance, or just...
Read moreWe decided to pop in while waiting for it to get dark for our Ferris wheel ride and I’m so glad we did!! Lovely kitties that are all rescues which I think is preferable to a place full of pedigree cats. Theres a mix of friendly ones and newer rescues still getting used to people but you can tell which ones are safe to interact with based on whether they’re wearing a collar or not which is a good system. The train diorama is super cute too!
One piece of constructive criticism I have is that personally I would prefer if sleeping cats were left alone by the staff and not moved closer to customers. Cats are animals with very strong personal boundaries and will interact with you when they want to. I think it feels much more special when a cat ‘chooses’ you and comes over to say hi or play without forced interactions. But other than that, the staff were kind and friendly and obviously love their kitties very much so there may just be a cultural...
Read moreWhat an amazing cat cafe to visit, and especially after going to the Osaka Aquarium. I love that all of their cats are rescues now living their best lives, and with amazing ocean front views too in the cultural hall. I prefer rescue cat cafes like this one to the more commercial ones with purebred cats as former strays are more fun and definitely have more personalities. The ice cream for sale is also really good too! The staff are also extremely friendly and nice and you can tell they really love...
