If you are ever wondering why people are willing to wait in line for an eatery in Osaka, you know it’s because they have seen it on tv/instagram or you will have the experience I have had in which a core memory of “that time I ate…” has been recorded into your brain.
Udama has become my reference point in which I base what udon is for me having lived in Osaka for about 10 years.
The texture alone from the fresh noodles are perfect in a sense that they are not too soft and balance out well with the hot broth. I always get hot, however my husband and children prefer cold. The noodles and broth are made fresh. This has been the main factor as to why I love their udon. In fact all of their dishes are made fresh daily and you can definitely taste or better yet, experience authentic Osaka flavors.
If possible, get the karaage (fried chicken) set or yakiniku if you get a chance before it’s been sold out. Curry udon is also quite popular.

さて、今回訪れたお店は、谷町四丁目から7分程歩いた所にある、うどん名店[Udama谷町base]さん♡
以前は梅田で営業されていて、2022/9月に谷町四丁目に移転されたそう!
初見では本当にうどん屋?と思う程分かりにくい外観でした!
