Captain Kangaroo — Restaurant in Osaka

COME ONE COME ALL!! After traveling accross Japan and experiencing it's vast culture and exploring new and exciting places, My friends and I stumbled upon the Diamond in the Rough which is Captain Kangaroo!! If you're looking for a Fun and Exciting and above all welcoming venue this is the place to be, Quiet drinks with your friends I'd recommend Monday - Thursday and if you're looking for a night to remember then the weekend life is ELECTRIC!! The staff are all English speaking or enough so that you know what they mean! The Food is arguably the best part of our entire trip! BBQ Burger and Nachos for life!! The atmosphere is unlike anything else we experienced in Japan, What the venue lacks in size it makes up for in character and in quality people both in patrons and staff!!

I couldn't recommend this place anymore or give it higher praise if I tried, It is a must if you're in Osaka!!

Full disclosure the kitchen closes at 3am and your tastes may vary from mine but personally to me this food is INCREDIBLE!

Secondly this venue is a Smoking Venue, To some that might be a little to much to handle, I recommend week day visits where the options to sit further from smoking and smokers is greater, for our group we were 50/50 Smokers and Non Smokers and none of us had a negative experience dispite this

And lastly but certainly not least!! The staff!! To each and every one of you! Thank you so much for everything! The greatest of memories were shared and made with all of you!! J & S & Tank & Sweetness & Electric! thank you all! You're all world class and I'll be back as soon as possible!!

Osaka 2023 I'll...

It's difficult to put a so so review because the service is profoundly awesome and the food is good, not the best, but good enough to enjoy solo or with a group. The problem is the atmosphere. Like many bars in Japan, this one allows smoking everywhere in the bar. So many people were smoking cigarettes, even the employees. It made me sick. Smoking is a disgusting habit that shouldn't be encouraged by bar owners. Putting cigarette smoke and emissions into the sky is poisoning the planet and its inhabitants. Bars that enable this horrible behavior should be told that what they are allowing is poisoning others. I will not go back here until they control the smoking issue better. The bar smells like an ashtray. I can't believe so many people gathered there and smoked like that. You might as well burn your money. It's less poisonous to...

What a massive disappointment. So we walk in and immediately start to get harassed by a drunk local, well we think was drunk, or having a laugh, until we realise the joke is on us. Hands all over us, yelling in our ears pushing and grabbing us, very confrontational. His buddies are filming the whole thing and the bar staff were useless just ignored the situation, or didn’t care. So, we took the hint and walked out.

You would think with the name and rock music a bunch of Aussie’s, could find a beer. Honestly, If you don’t want Aussies to come in and have a beer, don’t call the bar ‘Captain Kangaroo’. They even served VB. What a...
