Osaka Shiki Theater — Attraction in Osaka

Came to see Phantom of the Opera! I was able to buy my ticket online, with English instructions provided by the theater to guide me through the webpage. Very easy! It provided a QR code which let me into the show quickly as well.

We all got a free commemorative postcard, and there were souvenirs available for purchase as well. The theatre ONLY accepts CASH or PayPay (and maybe RPay?) and unfortunately I didn’t realize this so missed out in buying a program. I think the nearest ATM is down on the bottom floor of the shopping center so it’s not super convenient to go grab more if you’ve already gotten into the theatre.

The actual theatre was nice; comfortable seats with a good amount of leg room. Everyone had to wear masks (and do a temperature check at the door) and the ushers came through and made sure everyone had kept their masks on as well. It’s a smaller theater so it was easy to see the stage from nearly every seat.

Phantom of Opera in Japanese? At the price, I was expecting a slightly amateur version, but this was pretty much good as the one in the US. It's a bargain to watch these musicals in Japan. In the US, if I pay less than $100, I can expect to get a seat far away, but in Osaka. I paid 9900yen ($66) and got a seat in the best category.

Tip would be to buy these tickets ASAP. It's hard to find them on yahu oku or mercari so sooner you buy on their page, the better the seats.

Another tip is to go to the bathroom before the show because the intermission bathroom line is insane.

車椅子ユーザーと初訪問での口コミです。 チケットがとれた時点で(恐らく公演の４ヶ月以上前に)初めて訪問することを連絡。通路に近かったので自席で観劇する旨を伝え、あとはホームページで駐車場を調べて１時間前に着くよう向かいました。

ハービスENT駐車場に入るとすぐ、ホームページに記載のあった赤色の駐車エリアがあり、(ウエスト)エレベーターホールの真ん前が空いていたのでそこに駐車。(この時点でかなりラッキーと思っていました・・・) 他のお客さんと一緒にEVに乗り込み、その一団に行き先ボタンはお任せする形で『どちらまで?』『7階です!』と上がったものの、その方たちは５階で全員退出。『オペラ座じゃなかったのかな?』と話しながらふっと扉付近の行き先ボタンをみるとテプラみたいなので『5階でエスカレーターに乗り換えてください』と、、、え?!知りませんでした、、、それB3乗り場にも書いてたのかな?仕方ないので一旦7階まであがり再度５階へ。 ところが降りても、乗り継ぎEVの表示はなし。 フロアマップで奥の方に(イースト)EVがあるのを発見、念の為その場から劇団に乗り継ぎが合っているか電話で確認して向かいました。 しかし時間的に劇場へ向かうお客さんが大勢押し寄せており、４基あるエレベーターは5階からは全く乗る余地ありませんでした(泣)。3基見送り、仕方なく下りエレベーターに乗り込み下まで行き、降りずにそのまま再度７階へ向かいました。

※緑色の駐車ゾーンがイーストEV 側なのかは判りませんが、B3で最初に出てくる赤色エリアのエレベーターは車椅子の方は乗ったらエライ目に遭います、とだけは断言できます。お気をつけください。 ５階から健常者の方がEV...
