The good: the workers were excellent and the service was lovely. Very nice people, very amenable to changes and substitutions and good about any questions. The hotcakes and toast were really good.

Some issues: the waitstaff were obviously understaffed and this was stressful for them. They needed at least one staff member.

The prices in review need amending, here goes:

Have been to this location of Kohikan several times to meet friends for some coffee/tea and desserts. The desserts are seasonal as such they will vary by season and as I found out from year to year as well.

This place is a consistent cafe in a older high end style. Dark roast syphon coffee is the mainstay of the place, I don't believe there is espresso which is fine because that is not the style. Extremely quiet, calm atmosphere. Not a place for noisy children or loud gaijin conversation, more the audio feel of a library. A generous smoking section completes this offer Japanese style cafe.
