I absolutely LOVED this hotel. It's in a great, easily access part of Osaka, but away from some of the louder hustle and bustle of the city. The rooms are just the right size while maximizing all of the space in the room. We had the luxury of being automatically upgraded to a larger room for the first part of our trip, but both rooms were comfortable.
The best part of this hotel by far was the buffet breakfast. It is paid, but you can also get it as part of your booking. It is worth it. The noodles and meatballs especially is something I'm still thinking about over a week later, but everything I tried was delicious.
If anyone from Just Sleep sees this, PLEASE send me an email so I can get the recipes for both the meatballs and those noodles - I need to be able to make them back at home in the US. The breakfast had a spectacular variety for everyone and rotated dishes day-to-day, which I also appreciated.
The front desk staff was super friendly, spoke excellent English, and even helped us figure out how to ship a duffle bag of ours to Tokyo.
The next time I come to Osaka, I will 100% be staying at this hotel again. Not just for the great price on their rooms, but for that delicious...

Room: Clean and although they feel a bit more dated compared to the newest business hotels, have everything you need. The twin room is a bit smaller than most, even for Japan, but is fine as long as you don’t have more than 1 suitcase to open at a time.
Service: welcoming and quite multilingual. They speak better English here than staff from other hotels, but that’s also because they have more international staff. Breakfast is plentiful and changes slightly daily, but similar to the rooms being a bit small, the dining area can feel cramped at peak hours. They have more of a Taiwanese influence in their breakfast menu given the chains history, which can be refreshing. There is only one washer and one dryer on the first floor though. While they’re separate units and function better than the combined washers and dryers, you may have to use a laundromat if you’re unlucky.
Location: you’re minutes away from the shopping street with enough of a gap to mitigate noise issues. About a 10 minute walk to the nearest...
Read moreAs a place to sleep in a good location within walking distance of Dotonbori, this was a great hotel. The rooms were probably the smallest I stayed in while in Japan, but still manageable for one person. They have free drinks/snacks at certain times of the day which was nice but not many frills aside from that. The staff were helpful, although I originally booked a double bed and when I initially checked in they told me they upgraded me to a bigger room, which ended up just being a room with two twin beds that didn't really seem much bigger. When I asked to switch they did find me a room with a double bed which I appreciated, but I saw them wheeling out luggage that was being stored in that room so I think maybe they double booked and were trying to get me to take another room by pretending it was an upgrade. Ultimately wasn't an issue but felt a...
