Kyushu Ramen Kiou Morinomiya — Restaurant in Osaka

Kyushu Ramen Kiou here at Morinomiya really stands out for having one of the best vegan friendly ramen in town.

My friend was raving about their plant-based noods so I knew I had to come and try. Situated just right outside the JR station, this small shop offers seating for about 6 at the counter along with three small tables that can comfortably fit up to 4 people.

Everything is ordered via touchscreen and you can easily set it to English for your convenience. My friends and I all chose to order their vegan miso ramen which incorporates juicy seitan for their "meat" and loaded with tons of veggie flavor. I ordered mine at the highest spice level and was floored with how good my noodles were. Definitely a must get if you are looking for a vegetarian option.

We loved it so much that we came back another night and managed to order their veggie gyoza which were also vegan.

Horrendous service. We were asked to shift seats multiple times and shuffle our bags about whereas locals could sit wherever they wanted (??) Might have been an off-day for service staff but was looking forward to a meal here before sightseeing.
