Curry & Rice no Indo-ya Morinomiya — Restaurant in Osaka

Got the steak curry plate for 1250¥. Was tasty, 150g of pan fried steak strips on top of the rice surrounded with curry. Steak was good for the price. Curry flavor was nice and right amount of spice. Inside they have indian music playing and indian artifacts on the wall. The server was nice. I'll be back when im visiting osaka castle.

update 2025/01 Price has been raised 600¥ to 1850¥ for this same plate. I understand everything is more expensive, but a 50% increase in couple years is a bit too much....

Good curry for good prices, located very conveniently next to the train station and the Osaka Castle park! The basic curry is on the spicy side, but there is a "for kids" option with zero spice. The rice to curry ratio favors curry pretty heavily, so I would order extra rice. The service was pretty awkward with the server not coming to take our order and being a bit slow, but it wasn't bad. A little awkward service but you get a good amount of food for pretty cheap. If you expect authentic Japanese curry this isn’t the place for you. I ordered the pork cutlet curry and paid ¥890 compared to the original ¥940 because they had a time limited offer. The pork was crispy and perfectly cooked and the layer of cabbage was incorporated nicely on the same plate, compared to in a bowl as in many other places. Great little restaurant with good...
