Took the Tanimachi line to Abeno for a bit of shopping at Q’s Mall. Quite an interesting area with many individual shops at basement level leading up to the actual Mall itself. After shopping despite there being many food outlets in the mall we went outside across the road where we earlier saw quite a few eateries. We decided on a simple but tasty set lunch of miso mackerel, soup, rice, tofu n tsukemono (pickles). Apparently rice was a help yourself to as much as u needed. Service was very polite (took time to explain menu etc) food was hot and tasty n delicious. Sometimes simple is truly best 👍Oh yes the price was...

Good teishoku (set meal) restaurant. They seem to have a lot on the menu, I went for the yakiniku mixed set which has rice, soup, tofu, beef pork and fried chicken with vegetables. A good feed for 890 yen. All sets include free refills of rice. You order and pay at the self service touch screens at the entrance. I didn't check if they have an English option or menu. You can get a good feed here for less than 1000 yen and...

券売機でメニューを見てみると 鰻と豚かつと卵焼きを食べられるよくばりな定食があったので購入しました。
