I’m not sure why the reviews aren’t higher but my family loved this place during our visit to Osaka! Food is good and price is okay too!
We love the concept as you basically choose the small portions of cooked/cold dishes placed out in the counters (with prices labeled clearly). The staff will then help to heat up some of the cooked dishes! Great for sharing as we get to eat a lot of dishes in just 1 meal and they are really yummy too!
Service-wise, the staff are helpful in heating up our food. You pay after you eat here at the counter - they will note down what you’ve ordered as you grab the dishes. Only thing is it’s less tourist-friendly as the staff can’t really speak English, but I think it’s not an issue as you can really just grab what you want to eat. Only difficult part probably is ordering noodles (soba/udon) or soup as those are on the Japanese menu.
Recommend to try if you’re nearby! Yummy, affordable and convenient location near...

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Even to the point of shaking his head when we used the wrong condiments and then showing his recommendations. The older lady was so welcoming and nice. Watching her serve up the miso was like a mom making us dinner. 😊
The food was really good and filling. Were we supposed to mix it all in the miso soup? Anyway, we ate it and it was good!
The atmosphere is hard. We would call this a “local joint” or diner back home. The decor is what it is. And I, personally, enjoyed seeing a spot that was real. So, others may knock the decor, but the atmosphere is the people...
