Lately, my boss keeps taking me to Sri Lankan and Indian restaurants—and this one instantly became my favorite. I normally just cook Filipino adobo at home, but Mirch Masala Halal Food awakened my craving for spice like never before! 🔥 The aroma hits you the moment you step in. It’s not just food—it’s an experience. Every bite brings warmth, comfort, and a little fire (the good kind!). A nice curry restaurant tucked under ground level. They have very reasonable set prices and also do “one coin lunch” deals once a month. Portion sizes are good and the taste is pretty good too.

The staff are pretty attentive and offer suggestions from the menu. They also regularly top up your water without asking.

However, a big downside is that smoking is permitted. There is no “non-smoking” section (due to the small size of the place) either. It’s really hard to enjoy the flavours of the food, when the person next to you is huffing a cigarette.

Also, the place is a little bit dirty. I had to wipe my own table with my hand towel as there were crumbs and stains from the previous customer. The presentation of the food could also...

I got "Lady's set" for 1600 and the meat on hot platter was one of the best I've eaten. Same as samosa, very delicious.

The curry that came with it was good, but didn't suit my needs and expectations. Maybe because I'm Western and the curry was more authentic to what I'm used to?

Nan was thin and crispy - not for me.
