Ponchan Gyoza — Restaurant in Osaka

Super affordable and generous. Surprisingly the gyoza was the least impressive of the offerings - tried the mix plate and they were all good, but unfortunately a bit oily and not as tasty as some of the others I’ve had in Osaka.

Delicious dipping options though, and WOW the crab croquette and octopus. Super fresh and tasty.

Staff was not rude per se but felt slightly annoyed. Who knows, he might have just have had a bad day - and he didn’t make a fuss taking our orders, just a bit blunt and short.

Some of the best pot stickers I ever had. That led me to try the kaarage too while I was here, and it was also great.

I can't speak Japanese, but that was not an issue as the staff was friendly. Loved the rap / hip-hop music playing in the restaurant too. The cook (owner?) seemed to love what he does and he was vibing to the music behind the pans! Haha

Best gyoza we have had in Japan! Small space in the back streets but easy to find. The Miso gyoza was absolutely delicious. 3 of us ate and drank until we could do no more at a cost of 5,500 yen.
