Found this restaurant near where we were staying in Osaka near Daikokochu station. It is a small izakaya filled with locals, the yakitori skewers were delicious with lots of unique items on the menu. They have english speaking staff and an english translated menu. No wait times and a great local spot, would definitely recommend if you are around the area or want to avoid the more touristy areas...
