The adorable young man who served us went above and beyond to help us out, figuring out our order in English and Chinese and helping us work the token machine. The menu would benefit from just one vegetarian option - a simple soy sauce ramen or vegetarian fried rice - though they were very accommodating with our requests. They offered free water and ice with a number of interesting toppings and sauces on the table. Gyoza was delicious and felt very thoughtful. The fried rice was incredible, one of the best I've ever had (I've had a lot) and the Rosette/Tornado omelette on top was very special. The ramen was rich and delicious. While I usually prefer thicker noodles, I think the thin ones suit these broths better. My one qualm is the meat was quite dry and didn't have the melt-in-my-mouth quality I was after. Overall, it was well worth the walk in the scorching afternoon sun.

Someone who lived in Japan for 10 years said it was delicious—the broth was rich and clean, without any unpleasant smell. Personally, I found the broth a bit too salty because it was so rich. It's become very popular among foreigners on Google, so there weren't many locals—mostly tourists, especially a lot of Koreans. The staff speak in Osaka dialect. The fried rice was really soft and tasty. If I go again, I’d probably just get the fried rice. But since most of the customers were tourists, they didn't leave once seated, so we ended up waiting for over 40min. The portions are a bit small, and in reality, it takes less than 20 minutes for the food to come out and be eaten.

I have a dairy allergy and gluten intolerance. However, I tried gluten again and ordered regular noodles and didn't affect as bad. I had the white ramen with omurice. My husband ate the parts I couldn't eat since there was cheese. I did have my epi pen. Luckily, I had no bad reaction and enjoyed my meal. I took no other risks during my visit. But thankful this small place was able accommodate most of my allergies. Also very little English that they speak, for me I learned how to speak about my allergies in Japanese so it made it easier to order.

Rotten Dumpling, Disgraceful Service

My girlfriend and I went to this ramen shop tonight. We ordered two ramen, one fried rice, and one dumplings. The ramens and fried rice were okay, but the dumplings tasted a bit funny. After each of us had some dumplings, we suddenly realized that they were rotten (we didn’t expect something like this could happen in Japan). Shocked by the fact, we argued with clerk (owner?) of the ramen shop, but he just refused to recognize it or even to taste any bit of the dumplings.

What angered me the most is that when asked “What is that smell? Swine?” the clerk answered “yes, that is swine.” What did you mean by that? We are pigs and only deserve pigwash? Is this right to treat foreign tourists like this?...
