It's been a very nice and memorable experience of staying at hotel Tayo during my current visit to Osaka city. I stayed at this hotel for 9 days. The reception staff is very nice and friendly and they help you a lot they understand English very well. It is the best available option at this price I must say it is a very reasonable hotel at the prime location of the Osaka city. Many attractions are just within walking distance from this hotel. Even the underground train station is just next to this hotel. It is very convenient to travel all around Japan from this hotel. Food Street and the convenience stores are just hundred meters away from this hotel. Even shared toilets are very clean and bathrooms are very nice they provide you with shampoo conditioner and body wash. A kitchen facility is also available where you can cook yourself. I will choose this hotel again if I ever visit Osaka.

This is one of the best budget hotels in one of the most expensive cities of the world. Just at the center of Osaka, very close to the metro station; in fact within 5 minutes walking distance. You will find the big second hand market within 100 meter radious. Within three kilometers, there are big shopping malls, super shops and restaurants; all are Japanese, needless to mention. There are bicycle rental facility from the hotel, which is great. Rooms are very clean and provide traditional Japanese atmosphere. Beware of cold and exploit the vending machines all around. The most surprising thing is the staff could speak few Bengali words.

The staff were lovely and very helpful but that’s about the only thing from giving this place 1 star. The hotel is VERY worn down. Definitely getting what you paid for. Bathrooms have pee on the floor and smell, showers are mouldy and our room had SO much dust and dirt. The actual beds weren’t too bad but the room smelt horrible and the pillows were bean bags. As well the walls are paper thin so you hear everything in the hallway and adjacent rooms. Finally the WIFI does NOT work at all which can be tricky for travellers who don’t have a cell plan.

Hotel owner thief bad dishonest person avoid at all cost this place||The hotel really worth 0, its very old dirty there are only 5 showers for 200 people. Imagine the wait time, same for the lift with 9 floors. The room I had smelled really bad. Owner didn't want to change.||I booked on different sites and owner purposely doesn't write clear details, puts general photo. The room booked other nights looked exactly same than 1st night but apparently it was different.||The owner is very dishonest and a thief so he didn't tell me I need to change room when I told I stay 3 nights. I could know||As I didn't change room 2nd day he asked me to pay more than 45 USD price of additional night in good room. He didn't allow me to change the room the day after and did wrong calculation of price difference so that he earns more money. He's only after your money so be careful.||As I said it's too much and not normal don't have so much money he called the police to oblige me to pay what he asked. They didn't speak English and did not try to understand that he's stealing me and totally dishonest.||So briefly avoid at all cost, it's expensive dirty, the owner is really bad person just want your money doesn't care of the rest.||I hope the karma will get him back for what he did.||All the hotels around are much nicer but he didn't allow...

Clean facilities (there were many toilets and showers, of which, they each all have their own rooms!) and I also liked having a private room to myself. The price was great, especially if you're on a budget! The place is practically across from Shinsekai and Tsutenkaku Tower. They're only about a 5-10 min. walk away. 15, if you want to go to Abeno. I guess the only downsides would be the noise from the other tenants and that the WiFi was a little weak for me (though, there are a lot of tenants sharing it so that would certainly be enough to allow it down). The walls are thin and you can hear heavy-footed individuals walk around loud and clear. However, this is more on part the consideration of other tenants than the fault of the hostel. Just be aware it can be a bit noisy staying here. Apart from that, the staff is great! They can all speak English and are all wonderfully friendly. I came early before the check-in time and they allowed me to keep my suitcase and backpack in a storage room until I could check-in at a later time. That was very helpful and allowed me to go back out and wander around without having to lug around heavy bags. The paintings on the walls are also amazing. If I could, I'd love to contribute to it. They were really lovely. All in all, I'd stay here again if I'm in need of a place...
