Shabuzen Umedaten — Restaurant in Osaka

We went there on weekday lunch and the place is fully booked so we made a reservation and came back another day for dinner.

Sukiyaki was delicious and the quality of meats were excellent, we opted for all-you-can-eat as the cost performance was much much better than set menu. Wagyu sirloin is a little too oily for our liking, shoulder plate would be a good combination between beef and fat.

Service was excellent, i can understand that most of the staffs can speak very limited English, hence, their answers might appear to be non-welcoming for foreigners. Delicious meat impeccable service

Google map has location wrong. It’s in B1 not first floor. Highly recommend you’d need a reservation. I came here without one since other reviews mentioned walk-in is ok and I want some time flexibility, and the night was full (Sunday dinner at 6:30pm). The frontdesk was very nice to let me wait outside and I was able to get in eventually. something wrong with this restaurant: price is too expensive for the food served. staff working speed is too slow (order need to wait for almost one an hour). Especially the male staff. To improve the whole progress, installing iPad for order may be a good choice. Many staff should be retrained to enhance their productivity.
