This Izakaya was directly across from our hotel, so of course we had to try it.
We were brought upstairs to the smoking section where it was a nice atmosphere with booth seating. Didn't even smell like smoke :)
The food was all very delicious and affordable, Everyone at the table was happy! Loved the tempura and karaage. Wish I would have taken pictures but everything was great!
My apologies to our server, he tried his best as I practiced my bad Japanese skills. I practiced for one year but I think I need to practice harder.

For 2 nights in a row, we've been flat out rejected at the door even when the store looked empty. We were met by the same elderly lady who just spams "no" in our faces and a big "X" gesture without any explanation. Pretty rude. To be honest, the first impression felt like maybe there's some kind of prejudice.

Read moreThere is a wide range of food on offer. Whilst we didn’t sample everything, the tempura was excellent as were the dumplings. We sat opposite the sushi fridge and that looked fresh too.
The staff were very attentive and friendly. Place seemed child friendly too (we had our 3 month old and there was a young child a few seats over).
Relaxed atmosphere, and seemed like a good place to grab some food whether you’re a couple, young family or with friends.
