There was an English menu available and the waitress was very kind and patient with us not speaking Japanese. The food was amazing and the chef was very sweet! When you first arrive it looks like it may be closed but don’t be scared to go under the banner. The fish is so fresh and prepared perfectly any dish would be great, for a drink I recommend the Yuzu-Shu (soda) it’s made with sake and kinda tastes like sprite but citrus instead of lemon. I also recommend you make reservations a day ahead if you’re more than two people. It was pretty busy when we went on a Wednesday, so I would consider making a reservation. I included pictures of the English menu and the QR code to make a reservation, plus our...

The best sushi I've had ever. Super delicious salmon and the chef speaks great English. 100% reccomend.

—updating my review based on new experience I had.

I loved the sushi here so much I took my family back when they visited Osaka. I hyped it up and really was excited to share with them. Despite this, we (and another group of Americans) were discriminated against and made to wait over 30 minutes while they allowed Japanese people to enter. According to the hostess they had a reservation but what she didn’t know is I speak Japanese and heard the group she let in say they did not have a reservation. Honestly a disgusting experience. Do not go here as...

Came across this restaurant as we were in this vicinity.

Ordered a few of their recommended dishes - Uni, Minced tuna w/ scallions, fatty tuna

Most of the dishes were disappointing. The seaweed from the rolls were mushy, 3 x 6 pieces roll squeezed on one plate. However the medium fatty tuna and chawanmushi was pretty good.

The uni had a very bad colour and fishy taste as you can see in the photo.

Wouldn’t exactly recommend this place if you want a tasty sushi experience in Japan as it was quite pricey, nearly 8000 yen for 2 person and the quality wasn’t the best.

Overall, it is decent...

I ordered Chutoro (medium fatty tuna), but what I got was a lean, dark red cut — clearly Akami instead of Chutoro. I asked twice just to make sure, but they insisted it was Chutoro. It was ridiculous, but I decided to eat it anyway. Then came the Uni (sea urchin), which was even worse. The color was dull, the texture was mushy, and it had a strong fishy and ammonia-like smell as soon as I put it in my mouth. Having had fresh Uni many times before, I can confidently say it was spoiled. After that meal, I basically spent the rest of the day running to the bathroom. What shocked me even more was that the restaurant had completely different menus for locals and tourists. I saw with my own eyes that local customers were offered different dishes and prices. That kind of treatment really destroys any trust in a place. If you’re expecting fresh, quality sushi, I do not recommend this restaurant at all. A restaurant that treats tourists differently from locals is one you should never support. Honestly, you’re better off going to Sushi Sakaba Sashisu — their sushi was much fresher thanks to the higher turnover.
