The best sushi I’ve eaten in Osaka!

Tenma Sushi is an absolute gem. The staff are wonderful — warm, welcoming, and clearly take pride in what they do. Ordering is done via QR code on your phone; the menu is in Japanese, but with the photos (and a little Google Translate), you’ll have no problem at all.

My top recommendations: the Otoro (fatty tuna) melts in your mouth, the sweet prawn is incredibly fresh, the horse mackerel and rare beef are standouts, and the tempura is light and perfectly crisp. They also have a great selection of Nihonshu (sake) to pair with your meal.

If you’re in Osaka and love sushi, this place should be at the very top...

We really loved this place. We ate mostly "hearth grilled" plates like shrimp, sardine, chicken, fava beans, & oysters, but also tempura including octopus, oysters, & broccoli. Everything was delicious, especially the octopus, oysters, & shrimp.

It was a bit expensive: around 2,200 yen each, not including over 1,000 yen each for a (really small) sake & a beer. The place is beautiful, the hearth chef was very friendly, & the atmosphere was great, so we were fine with the price.

Went there as a recommendation from a Japanese friend and I can say was the best sushi I had in Japan! Very very fresh. Service is great and fast! Although they don’t have English menu BUT you can use your Google translator and it translates everything in English. They have online menu and it’s super easy to work with.
