Sushi-Izakaya ANABA Tenma — Restaurant in Osaka

Fresh seafood at a reasonable price. The place is quite small and often packed.

They immediately told me there's no seats left and only take reservations when I got there. They demanded me to leave impatiently, which is understandable since they're very busy, but actually all I want is takeaway.

Since I couldn't speak Japanese, I tried to make them understand what I want, which is quite frustrating because they didn't even care to listen or look at me at first. After several times of trying, they finally understood and gave me the menu.

I wrote ”鮭” (salmon in Kanji) to ask her if they serve it and they said it's not Japanese... Thanks to a nice English speaking lady who was dining there, she helped translate the Japanese menu for me. I didn't have to order random things and have a ”surprise” meal.

In the end, they gave me the order very nicely with smiles. So I guess it's best to go with a Japanese speaking friend or...

내 여행을 망친 최악의 식당.

예약을 하지 않아서 50분을 기다린 건 이해할 수 있었다. 한국어나 영어 메뉴판이 없는 것도 이해할 수 있었다. 하지만 먹을 수 있는 시간도 제한적인데 주문을 받은 지 50분이 넘어도 주문시킨 메뉴는 나오지 않았다.

우리보다 늦게 온 일행들은 메뉴가 나오는데 우리 것만 나오지 않았고 왜 안 나오냐고 물어보자 주문이 밀렸다고 변명을 하기 바빴다.

평균 3.9점? 정말로 너무 맛있는 곳이라면 점수가 왜 낮은지 생각해 보자. 사실 더 낮아도 이상할게 없다. 현지인 맛집이라고 찾아갈 사람들에게 충고하자면 돈 내고 인종차별받아 가며 음식 먹고 싶으면 가라.

내가 이상한 행동을 한 게 아니냐고 물을 사람들도 있겠지만 정상적으로 맥주와 스시를 시켰고 그냥 조용히 기다리기만 했다. 심지어 더 먹고 싶은 게 있어서 추가 주문도 했다. 이제 물어보겠다 내 행동에 문제가 있었나? 결국 음식은 먹지도 못하고 나왔다.

당신의 여행과 기분을 망치고 싶지 않다면 생각을 다시 해보는 것이 좋을 것 같다.

나올 때 우리를 보는 비웃는 시선이 동반된 식당, 일본에서 받아본 적 없는 최악의 서비스였다.

The worst restaurant that ruined my trip.

I could understand that I waited 50 minutes because I didn't make a reservation. I could understand that there were no Korean or English menus. However, even though the amount of time you can eat is limited, the menu you ordered did not come out even after 50 minutes.

The group who came later than us were busy making excuses that the order was pushed back when we asked why it wasn't only ours when the menu came out.

Average 3.9 points? If it's a really good place to eat, let's think about why the score is low. In fact, there's nothing strange about it if it's lower. To advise those who will visit the local restaurant, pay for it and go if you want to eat racist food.

Some people might ask if I did anything weird, but I ordered beer and sushi normally and just waited quietly. I even ordered extra because I wanted to eat more. Now I'm asking, was there something wrong with my behavior? In the end, I couldn't even eat the food

If you don't want to ruin your trip and mood, you might want to think again.

One of my favorite izakaya in Osaka, which lives up to its name which translates to "a hole-in-the-wall". The sushi here is very delicious, cheap, and bulky. Definitely the Anaba roll, which is just everything rolled into one sushi.
