Service was very fast and friendly. But honestly, probably too fast. The price was pretty standard for Thai restaurants in Osaka, but I found the ingredients and final product to be a bit lacking. I had the Khao SOI and the noodles were clearly just packaged instant ramen and the curry soup was very thin and lacking in flavor.
It was not "bad" in any way. I still happily ate the whole thing, but I do feel like there are better options for Thai food.
I should mention that several friends have recommended this place, and I feel like they have done a great job of localizing their food in Japan. I was just hoping for some stronger flavors and my disappointment in that regard is extremely subjective.
Food aside, it looks like a fun place to grab a few beers and and snacks with friends. The staff were all...
Read moreThis unassuming place is easy to miss, but do yourself a favor and stop by for a delicious taste of Thailand. The food is authentic and delicious, with a huge range of options to choose from.
If you look around, you'll notice many tables ordered the barbeque/hot pot, which features lots of vegetables, several types of meat, a long with calamari and shrimp. So good!
The best part of our experience was the staff, who were welcoming, friendly, and funny. They put us right at ease, despite our lack of language skills, and found a way to connect with us, make us laugh, and guide us through the menu.
The owner is a gregarious woman who loves making people feel at home. She told us the name of the restaurant means inexpensive and delicious, which is absolutely true. We left with full stomachs and...
Read morePretty authentic Thai food served by really friendly Thai people! Yum Woon Sen was perfectly balanced, prawn vermicelli was tasty but a tad too dry, Khao Soi was tasty but not quite the usual noodles and the best for me was the Khao Ka Moo aka Pork Leg rice! The meat and skin was melt in your mouth tender and although the gravy was not as rich in flavour as the usual ones you find in Thailand, it was good enough for here. The ladies were super friendly even if the service was rather erratic. When we got in, the table we sat at was super hot because there was a big table of ladies having mookata and the heat was stifling. We were sweating buckets. But once they left, the air con worked normally again and it was bearable. The owner apologised for our discomfort though, which was...
