Got the guydon (beef bowl) with karage set. (Miso soup and a piece of karage. Fried chicken for those of you that aren't familiar) my wife got the cheese beef bowl. With drinks I think it was less than 2000ยฅ... $14 with current exchange rate at 1:140. The food was delicious, the flavor from the beef was great on the rice. The karage was perfectly crispy but juicy and tender. The Miso soup is a white miso with dashi broth. (For those not familiar, dashi is a soup broth made from kelp and fish, miso paste (fermented soy beans)) it was delicious but does have a salty sea "fishy" flavor in case you've never had it before. 5 stars because 1. Cheap 2. Delicious 3. Open before 9am (most of Japanese shops don't open until 9 or 10... Even donut shops) I'll be going again for sure.

They provide a menu in English, which was helpful. I enjoyed their grilled eel and fish miso - both delicious. My husband had a boat of the most beautiful sushi and he enjoyed every piece. The food was delicious, the flavor from the beef was great on the rice. The karage was perfectly crispy but juicy and tender. The Miso soup is a white miso with dashi broth. (For those not familiar, dashi is a soup broth made from kelp and fish, miso paste (fermented soy beans)) it was delicious but does have a salty sea "fishy" flavor in case you've never had it before.

5 stars because Cheap Delicious Open before 9am (most of Japanese shops don't open until 9 or 10... Even donut shops)

Visited on a Sunday evening during our trip to Osaka from the US. Tucked away from the main hustle and bustle and an excellent experience. We sat at the sushi bar and had quick and kind service. They provide a menu in English, which was helpful. I enjoyed their grilled eel and fish miso - both delicious. My husband had a boat of the most beautiful sushi and he enjoyed every piece. Will...

Fairly good.

I got the gyudon with green egg and raw egg. The gyudon was actually respectable. The beef was relatively soft and had a sweet-savoury soy flavour from the sauce. The green onions and egg yolk complemented the gyudon well. 3.5-4/5.
