When you happen to be in OSAKA, this hotel is a good choice! Great location - a short walk to Namba Park/Mall as well as Dotonbori & Shinsaibashi areas. There's an amusement building/center (Pachinco) nearby but it is not an issue at all. There are a number of various 24-hour convenience stores along the area so you wouldn't get hungry and you can go outside to get food in the middle of the night. There are also quite a few good restaurants within the area that we tried ( usually ramen and takoyaki places...).Reception staff are all accommodating & friendly and can speak English. One of their female staff who welcomed us during check-in as well as the male staff who entertained us on check-out are both pleasant and service-oriented. Great customer service! What's nice also are the free toiletries ( ORGANIC and has good scent for BODY WASH plus black/charcoal-made cotton buds..) and they gave us also welcome kits of toiletries upon check-in which is an added plus! Of course, room size is not that big but a standard room is manageable for 2 adults. Nice bathroom - love it. My husband and I slept comfortably for the whole duration of our stay - 5 nights! Their breakfast also is not that pricey and has good selection of both local & Western food. We enjoyed the buffet breakfasts we had and their staff as well were pleasant to deal with - very helpful, friendly and will assist you in every way. They would ask if you want to take-out coffee in cups if you are leaving the restaurant. Cool! Would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back there's an opportunity to visit OSAKA again. Mid-range hotel that's clean, comfortable and not too pricey....
Read moreI have stayed in this Richmond hotel for 7 consecutive nights. It's location is perfect, walking distance to a number of different train systems / routes, has convenience stores and a famous grocery store nearby. I almost visit the grocery every day for vegetables and other necessities. Also a kura sushi place is just next to the hotel and it is famous for low price sushi. Inside the hotel, the staff is very welcoming with courtesy. During check-in, the staff explain everything in details. Hotel guests need to get amenities like toothpaste, comb, razor ,etc from reception area. Inside the room, the furniture and items are well kept. It does not look like an old hotel. The air conditioner and shower work perfectly. The mattress and quilt are super comfy. However, the ventilation in bathroom is not good. I can smell sewage everytime I open the door. Besides I can hear some mechanical noise regularly from the air-con and windows. The noise isolation is not very good and I can hear some noise from other rooms and corridor. These disturb my rest a bit but not serious. Wifi is not stable. it got disconnected from time to time. Once connected it can work fine with acceptable speed. My package comes with breakfast. The menu is almost the same everyday. it offers meat usually beef/pork, eggs, veggies, some preserved veggies, sweets and fruits. I enjoy the food very much except the coffee. The coffee is usual japan standard with weak flavour. All in all, the hotel does meet my expectation, especially the rate...
Read moreI stayed six nights in the so called single room. I appreciated the larger room size, it was larger than rooms in other 4 comparable hotels where I had stayed throughout Japan. Everything in the room worked properly, as expected in Japan. The room was clean, Wi-Fi worked fine. At first I became concerned about the noise because my room ended up next to the elevator, it turned out it was not a problem at all, it was quiet.|Everyone I interacted with from the hotel staff was polite, welcoming and friendly. Japanese hospitality at its finest.|The breakfast buffet includes the same dishes every morning, but it was fine to me. Food tasted good and fresh and the restaurant looked very clean with super friendly people working breakfasts.|Location wise it was a quick 10-15 min walk to Namba Parks (a shopping mall) / Namba station. Or you walk out the hotel door, turn left, then turn left again at the main street, walk straight ahead and you will arrive to Daikokucho station of Midosuji Line (red line). A very easy and short walk.|All in all, I liked everything about the hotel. I would stay here again for sure, if I need to be close to Namba. I am rating it as an...
