VINOTECA — Restaurant in Osaka

We did not know what to expect visiting an Italian restaurant while in Japan on Christmas but trust me when I tell you that our experience at Vinoteca was the best we’ve had so far during our visit to Japan. The chef is from Italy himself so the food was guaranteed to be best quality from the start. The owner & his wife made our dining experience so very welcoming and the food was so delicious. I cannot wait to visit Japan again and to come to this restaurant once more. I recommend it for anyone who would like to try authentic Italian cuisine in Osaka. We found this place through google search after reading some bad reviews of restaurant in Namba and how foreigner friendly they were. Quiet neighbourhood without many people in the other restaurants but this place was packed. We were offered outdoor seat only but were happy as there were smokers inside. The best seafood spaghetti, the sauce was like straight out of Italy. The pizza was like nothing we'd eaten at home. We even ordered another takeout pizza. Definitely come here if you are having pizza or pasta cravings...

Really good food but the owner was kind of getting political while we were trying to enjoy our food on our last day in Japan. The irony of a guy who is an immigrant supporting Trump is kind of lost on him I think, but that's classic conservative double think. Even said "say hi to Trump for me" on our way out the door. Just let people eat in peace man, and educate yourself a little on geopolitics if you're grateful to live in Japan so you can see the hypocrisy within...
