Yayoiken Tsuruhashi — Restaurant in Osaka

I have eaten many, many times at the Tsuruhashi Yayoiken. They offer good food at a reasonable price. I was always happy there until tonight, when I was treated VERY badly by the waitress who has served me many times. Food is ordered via a vending machine at the entrance. However, it was not functioning properly tonight. The waitress came to the entrance and invited the Japanese couple BEHIND us to enter and personally took their orders. I asked her for help several times and she eventually responded in a very rude manner. After she took the Japanese couple's order, she went to the kitchen and would not assist me. I am a white American. My Japanese friend who had already ordered and was seated came to help me, but the machine was not working. He explained the situation to the waitress, but she made excuses and would not admit that there was a problem with the machine or that she had not served me well. She assumed that I did not know how to use the machine, and would not help me. I sat with my friend while he ate his meal, but I will NOT be back to this...

Awesome place. There is a ticket machine right when you walk in that has an English menu along with limited time dishes. We have made it a point to eat somewhere new for each meal we dine out and this place was the best, so we made an exception and came back for a second time since we leave tomorrow.
