A hidden gem next to Otaru JR station. The small 6 seater run by a lovely couple is the best counter nigiri sushi restaurant we have had in Hokkaido and rivals the top sushi joints in all of Japan. We have eaten plenty of top rated sushi restaurants around the world and this chef humbly puts many of them to shame. It could be the ready access to the fresh seasonal produce from Hokkaido but his techniques and pairing with the aromatics and toppings made each bite so delicious and balanced.
