The monkey pastry was tasty, but the real star of what I got was the cheesecake. It's like a hybrid between a New York and a Basque cheesecake. It has the almost chewy crust of a Basque, with the fluffy crumbly creaminess of a New York.

小樽の地元の方に勧められて買い物に行った。ポケモンコラボの焼菓子やアイスクリーム、ケーキまで揃う老舗のお店。 1番驚いたのはケーキのモンブラン 商品の札が間違ってるのかと思ったが、前のお客さんも注文して店員も迷いなく取り出した、どこから見てもチョコレートケーキ。 よく見ると、小樽ではモンブランとはチョコレートケーキのことらしい。 モンブラン頼んで、これが出てきたら、え？って言っちゃいそうなので肝に銘じておこうと思いました ただ、勧められて来たものの、正直あまり購買意欲がわかず。チーズケーキも3種類ありましたがパサついた感じがする。 それでも購入したパフやムース系のケーキは普通に美味しかった。 でもどうせ買うならル◯オのケーキを買えば良かったと思うことが。 店員の女性が非常に不愉快な対応で、お客様は神様だとは言いませんが、買い物させて頂いたという感じで、途中で買い物やめて帰りたくなりました。 地元の方が勧めてくれてるのに、二度とリピートしたいとは思えません。いらっしゃいませもありがとうもなかったと思います。 店の出入口に公衆電話が無造作に置いてあり、あんなとこで誰が使うのかと思いますが、お客様ファーストのお店ではない気がしました。良くも悪くも老舗ですね。 美味しそうなお菓子もあるのに非常に不愉快なお店だと思わせてしまう店員がいるのは残念です

Very European Style Cafe with authentic cake. I had the 　　レアチーズ　 and it was refreshing and delicious. The prices are absolutely fair and they offer a drink set for 730¥. Very friendly...
