A very small roastery cafe close to a busy train station. I went there with my friend who lives in Shiga, but she had never noticed it. They offer their original blend and various single origins. I had a nice gesha which was roasted a bit darker than my liking, but it still carried floral aroma with clean finish. My friend chose the original blend which was darker roast and she was really happy with what she had. Coffee was served with a pack of biscuits which was also nice. Absolutely delightful coffee shop that will make you want to sit there and just watch the world go by (and, conveniently, there is a train track that you can enjoy, with all the cheerful trains passing by in their glory).

Coffee, especially the drip coffee was on point, and the quiche and the sweets that we got were delicious 😋

I’ve visited 自家焙煎珈琲所 猫とめがね焙煎所 twice now and both times have been very delightful. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. It's a good spot to relax a bit and have a coffee. Both the coffee and desserts were great. There’s a narrow glass window in the shop that lets the sunlight stream in adding to the atmosphere. かなり美味しい珈琲を満喫できるうえ、電車好きにもオススメのお店です。 少し前に見つけたお店で、休みで娘を近くに送迎するついでに立ち寄ってみました。 自家焙煎にこだわっておられるお店で、お店に入ると焙煎機が目に入ります。今回、黒猫ブレンドのハンドドリップコーヒー、フルーツマフィン、パウンドケーキを注文しました。 結果としては、全部ヒットでした。黒猫ブレンドは、最初にコーヒーの苦味がぐっと来るのですが、飲み終わった後にはスッキリした味わいで、全体的にとても飲みやすくて、おいしいと思います。個人的にはコーヒーの味わいをしっかり感じながら堪能できるので、お気に入りの1杯になりそうです！ また、マフィンとパウンドケーキも、生地とフルーツの甘みが絶妙にマッチしていて、とても美味しかったです。土日限定メニューらしいのですが、一度食べていただきたい一品です！ 店内は、カウンター席が4席です。1番奥の席に座ったのですが、目の前の上にある横長の窓から、湖西線を走る電車がバッチリ見えます。また、入口からは、京阪電車が走っている姿も見えるので、電車付きの方や、子供さんには喜んでもらえるかもしれません(^^) お店の場所は、琵琶湖岸側から、京阪の踏切を超えてくると、目の前のファミリーマートの左側にあります。少し奥まっているのですが、木造のおしゃれな建物なので、すぐにわかると思います。縦に二台入る、駐車場もあります。 店主の方もとてもフレンドリーな方で、いろいろ丁寧に教えてくださいました。おいしいコーヒーを楽しめるイチオシのお店です。
