CAFFE & DINING SHACHI 大宮店 — Restaurant in Saitama

On our way back from visiting Hikawa Shrine with some friends for the New Year we saw a sign along the shrine walk way for this cafe and decided to check it out. It turned out to be a really great decision because we had an absolutely delicious lunch here.

Due to the holiday there was a limited menu and so I enjoyed one of their New Year’s specials. The pasta and seafood dish was a bit expensive for the portion size but considering the occasion and the gold flakes sprinkled on top it to make it go that extra mile it was worth it.

The staff were very friendly and helpful but if there is a language barrier you can order online using your smartphone. I found the bathrooms to be clean and overall the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. It was clear that a lot of effort had been put into the cafe to make it appealing and comfortable...

Saw the great reviews and decided that I wanted pasta and beer - both delivered beautifully.

I ordered a veggie/meat sauce spaghetti. I wanted the garlic seafood pasta, doh! You can order online inside, but be sure to have LINE ready, which will bring me to my next few points:

Big 👍 to one girl helping me order - she’s both front house staff and cook. I didn’t have LINE, so she used her own phone to help me order; a very kind person 😀. She also speaks decent amount of English, so she will help those that are Japanese-deficient like I am.

Beer guy - good recommendation! I got a Japanese lager per his recc and it was awesome. You go to the back and order/pay for a beer to dine in or take out.

インスタからページに入り予約してお昼に来店。店内はかなりカジュアルだけど、おしゃれで落ち着いた雰囲気です。女性の店員さんが大変丁寧に内容説明をしてくださいました。言われた通りQRコードを読み込み、パスタとランチドリンクを注文。先にサラダとドリンクが来ました。5分ほどで出来立てパスタが到着。かなり！”濃厚な”雲丹クリームパスタでした。しっかり雲丹の身が乗っているし磯の香りを微かに感じます。パスタの茹で加減もちょうどよくて麺もしっかりとコシがあるけど柔らか過ぎない絶妙な茹で加減でした。最後のソース一滴も残したくないくらい美味しかったです。行く前に口コミを見たのですが、他の方の口コミで「子連れには不向き」とありましたが、メニューのパスタ以外がアラカルトのおつまみ系ばかりなので、お子様連れの方はこちらのお店に来る方は少ないと思いましたしそう感じるならサイゼリヤにでも行けばいいと思いました。私は、お店の雰囲気も、店内を流れるBGMもすごく好みだったので全体的に大変満足致しました。ただパスタソースがはねっとりソース系が多いので、私はこぼしがちな民族なので、紙エプロンがあるともっといいか...
