Sushi Oga — Restaurant in Sakai

We booked the restaurant via a website like a few months ago before our trip. When we got there, they said that we didn't have a reservation. We showed them our confirmation email which shows exactly the date and time. They still didn't believe us and said we didn't have a booking. What other proof that we can have and what proof do they expect we have!! I don't have a clue. Finally an employee there said I am sorry but you have to leave because we don't have your reservation. I said that is unacceptable but he just repeated I am sorry. Finally he said they can reschedule us to another day after tomorrow but we just visited Osaka for 2 days. We will go to another country the very next day. I think that is a total disaster!!! I believe if a restaurant fails to manage their bookings most likely can't have the heart and ability to prepare good food. I have no idea what their food tastes like and I definitely will not come back. If you are planning to go there, I recommend you to think twice. We travel all the way from the US and we don't even book any other sushi restaurants because we think we can have dinner in one of the best places. It is so disappointing.!!! By the way in order to arrive on time, we have to take a taxi there too. The restaurant gave us a refund but I don't think that is enough. If we were Japanese, I think they would bow and sincerely apologize. However, we are just foreigners and don't speak their language. The only word that they said is sorry. I feel sorry too. The sushi is amazing and the taisho is most definitely talented. But is it worth the months-long wait? Or the price that is double of other highest-quality sushi restaurants in Osaka? Or the fairly long trip south to Sakai from Osaka City? That's debatable. The omakase is amazing but there are at least a dozen restaurants in Kitashinchi and the surrounding area that are as good for less than half the price. 開業の翌年には食べログSilverを受賞 以後今年で3年間その地位を保持されています もちろん予約困難店…私などが行けるお店ではありませんが、こちらの常連様で毎日全国の有名店を食べ歩きされている素敵すぎる方にお声がけいただきました ♡ありがとうございます♡

伺ったのは昨年夏 緊急事態宣言下ではありませんでしたが 立場上…自粛を余儀なくされていて 他にもいくつかの超予約困難店にお声掛けいただいていたのに何軒もキャンセルしてしまい 本当にご迷惑をおかけしましたのに いつも信じられないくらい優しい対応で その懐の深さに感動してしまう程です

当日もお店へのアクセスを心配して 直前にご連絡くださったり 座席のご配慮まで…(#^.^#) 本当に優しい方で 実はめちゃくちゃ面白い方です

この日は貸し切り会 主催者様と大将はじめ 集われた方々全員若くて美しくて✨ 私…かなり浮いてます アウェー感半端ありませんでしたが 皆様やっぱりお優しく お相手してくださったことにも 感動と感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです

◆場所 大阪府堺市 阪堺電気軌道阪堺線『宿院』駅から直ぐのようですが この日は滋賀県から車でビューンと 堺市内のホテルに車をとめて即タクシー 堺市は初めての訪問なので本当はゆっくり見学したいところでしたが…コロナ禍ではそれは厳しいです その代わりタクシーの運転手さんが短い時間に 街のことやお店についても話してくださいました

◆雰囲気 老舗の料亭のような見事な門構え アプローチもカウンターも 『わびさび』を感じられる凛とした趣があり♡ 大好きな雰囲気です

こちらはお向かいにある創業80年の老舗『弥助』さんの若き4代目が2018年にはじめたお店だそうです

◆お料理 ★蒸し鮑 一品目から驚きの食感と美味しさ ★明石二見の鯛 ★車海老 ★バチコと餅の海苔巻 炙ったバチコに朝ついたお餅 それを上等な海苔で手巻きにして〜♡ コレはヤヴイ！こんな食べ方は初！ ★鰻の白焼き ★オクラのすり流しと葛の素麺 暑い日に爽やかな一品ですが 葛で作った素麺の食感と喉越しも楽しい
