I would have given a five star had we received better service. The food and wagyu beef is definitely worth a 5 star for quality and taste.
It was our last night in Sapporo before we head home and we thought we wanted to have one more meal of the super grade wagyu beef. We walked in the night before but the restaurant was full so we went to another restaurant nearby to have our meal. We still wanted to give this restaurant a try and walked back to make reservations for our last night in Sapporo.
When we entered the restaurant on the night we made reservations, we already felt like we were not very welcomed. What made it worse was when we asked for water refill and the waitress dump the jug of water on the table. The plastic ice stopper dropped into the jug of water and we asked kindly asked the waitress to change the jug of water. She gave us a look of annoyance and put her fingers directly in the jug of water to retrieve the plastic ice stopper. This was absolutely disgusting, as we are not sure if she had washed her hands after she used the bathroom and definitely unhygienic, which spoiled the entire dining experience.
To be honest, the cost of a meal in this restaurant is not at the low end and as such would expect some level of service.
Anyway, I'm just sharing my experience. I would still recommend for you to try the food but don't expect to get the service that you think you will...

I looked around other tables and all their menus were on the table not on the floor. People in Japan never place items on the floor. I said to him its dirty and I will not pick up the menu that you put on the floor. I told him to give me a new menu. Then he went to get a new one but with an attitude.
Seriously unprofessional staff. I have never seen this in any other country. If your staff is not up for the job, then quit. The meat here does not deserve to be sold in this restaurant.
After dinner, I placed everything neatly on the table. Chopsticks placed correctly, napkin folded, menus place PROPERLY. Just to show him that this is my standard.
