Our first meal after arriving at Sapporo, with luggage, kids and all. Took us a while to find it, tucked at the back of the stationery level at level 4.
As travellers, there are just too many good ramen places to try and we are sure some can be really good. What makes Aji no sanpei stand out is its combination of history, non-description/low-key location, and really excellent back-to-basics ramen and friendly staff.
The noodles had the right bounce, the soup is unique (not too thick, not too thin, just right for the combination of ingredients and the cold weather) and the pork had a nice clean taste. Both adults and kids give the thumbs up. We had the shumai and a side of simmered pork slices. The pork slices were so good, the fat had a clean taste and did not feel heavy.
