Atelier Morihico — Restaurant in Sapporo

ATELIER Morihiko is such a charming café with a warm and cozy atmosphere. The interior is beautifully designed with wooden furniture, soft lighting, and thoughtful details like fresh flowers on the tables. It really feels like a place where time slows down.

The coffee is excellent — smooth, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. I tried the latte, which came in a rustic ceramic cup with a generous layer of foam, and it was both comforting and full of flavor. The food is just as good: the cheese toast was delicious, golden on top with the right balance of crisp edges and soft bread inside.

The staff are very nice and polite, adding to the overall relaxing vibe. Service feels genuine and thoughtful, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.

Good airy space on ground floor which it shares with a soap/bathroom essentials shop (something of that ilk, anyway..). Big communal wooden-top table in the middle and individual seats along the counter behind which the staff beaver away at making your coffee. Also a few tables by the window with comfy-ish seats. Coffee's largely drip, but there's also what looked like an espresso machine (I only saw back of it, so can't say for certain) and a few espresso-based options on menu. What a hidden gem it is!

Good coffee, friendly staffs, good environment. We visit there in a normal weekday morning (in fact, on Monday). We didn’t do any research and just walk in. It was almost the end of Aug but still very hot and humid in Sapporo (which is not usual), the aircon is just right, every guest is doing whatever they need to do around the big wooden table. Some of them were chatting with low voice, no disturbances to another guests.

Coffee is made by hand drip, cake is not too sweet, I can feel they picked up good raw materials to make it delicious.
