we stays in this hotel because it’s cheap, no doubt about that. We wouldn’t expect too much from a cheap budget hotel in this price range, so I gave a 3 stars. Otherwise I would give 1-2 stars. I should have read the google review before I book, set my expectation right…. Pretty much those negative reviews problem still occur, never improved, only got worst. Laundary is nightmare. One of the washing machine broken, no one every come to repair it. (we though it was because New Year so repair was on holiday, which is understandable. But we stays over a week, nothing…..). The worst part is not laundry, is the dryer. Like other comment mentioned, the dryer NEVER works! We tried 1.5 hours and it still wet, very wet. We have to brought everything back our room and hang dry. with heat on, most clothe dried over night. ONLY IF YOU CAN FIND SPACE IN THE ROOM! we bought a roll or rope to help… Room is small but for this price, no complain. In fact, room is more then acceptable, TV closed to bed, washroom and bath room are roomy. I would come again for the rooms (consider the low price I paid) ONLY IF THEY IMPROVED THE HYGEN! The room is full of dust, head board is so dusty beyond my though. What scare me the most is the public bath. It got moss everywhere inside the big bath area….. floor is very slippery due to lack of cleaning. I have a sense I am using a wild outdoor Onsen! LOL! The wall you can see all the black moss… the changing area is dirty, messy…. resting area no one comes to clean, the paper cups are everywhere, loaded in the rubbish can. Some one did mentioned you need to pay extra to have your room fix, which is fine to us. Hotel will kindly as guest to pickup new towl from lobby when needed. But when we try to pickup the towl from Lobby, morning, only carpet left, night, only carpet left. So we asked the hotel staff around 10am next day, it’s all gone, they don’t have any new towel. When is the best time for guest to pickup? Check out once and check in again for new towel? Final thought, for this price, this hotel is acceptable if you can toralant the hygiene problem…. Its looks ok in the room, just don’t think too much, don’t go to the public bath. P.S. Some comment mentioned its not Tattoo friendly. I saw couple guys with Japanese style tattoo covered their whole back and arms were welcome in the public bath. maybe your tattoo is not...
Read moreThis is the worst experience I’ve had at a hotel. I had booked a large twin room but according to the hotel I had booked a cabin room. I show them the evidence in the receipts but still they say I have a cabin room. It is ridiculous! A cabin is not what I paid for! Hotel LiVEMAX had titled the room I paid for “Large twin room” and provided pictures of the large twin room. The hotel staff were not helpful whatsoever and clearly would not acknowledge that I, someone trying to enjoy my trip to Sapporo, had searched for a hotel room to stay prior to booking, had paid for a hotel room but had been given a cabin. In case you didn’t know, a cabin room is practically the same as a room in a hostel. And to make matters even worse I found out I couldn’t even have a shower when I woke up. Having had my first night ruined, staying up late trying to sort this out, I woke up the next morning to discover that the showers are only open from 6am-10am in the morning. This whole situation is absolutely ridiculous! The staff don’t speak English either which makes matters more difficult after Hotel LiVEMAX’s failures. As a traveler in a foreign country, I strongly suggest you avoid this hotel! For your own sake, do not get yourself in the same...
Read moreBicycle tourist here. Your bicycle can go under an overhang behind the hotel. Dont ask just roll your bike back there. Spot the red flag and the small smoking already and follow the walk way.
This is a good hotel in my opinion for cycle tourist. The price is a bit lower than most hotels, it has a good location, and the staff were friendly. It’s also very quiet
The rooms can be a little lack luster. It’s possible for them to be a little dirty. But for the price, it didn’t bother me. All in all it’s a good option for the price. Ac and WiFi are good. You even have a microwave which is rare .The onsen is small but very nice. There are two bike shops close. LOV was able to get me a bike box. There are 100 yen shops close by that sell tape and bubble wrap. There is also enough space behind the hotel to pack your bike privately and once in a box you can bring the box in your room.
I got to the airport the lazy way and took a Taxi on the GO app which is close to 100usd. Hope this helps...
