CoCo Ichibanya Susukino — Restaurant in Sapporo

This shop is very centrally located in the Susukino (think Ginza / Shinjuku) part of Sapporo. It's right on the first floor, on the corner of a major intersection, though the actual shop is quite petite (maybe 6-7 stools total at the counter).

Hubby had the summer season special of vegetable pork cutlet curry. I had the beef curry with pork cutlet. The vegetable curry has a hint of sweetness from the onions which I really liked. The beef curry felt slightly saltier and also lacked the sweetness from the vegetables. However, both very addictive and delicious from the spice of the curry! And, love the pickles (that's one of the condiments at the counter).

I also ordered a salad -- it was nicely portioned for japan standards and fresh -- shredded cabbage and carrot served over a few lettuce leaves as is standard in Japan. Satisfied my green craving / requirement...

The place has only 8 seats at the counter. We felt discriminated as the server made us order by the qr code and refused to get out order like he did with all other costumers. He made our food after other people that came after us. The plates were presented messy and carelessly. The cheese topping was 10% of it was supposed to be. Also He made is much more spicier than it was supposed to be. We ordered level 3 and he made it 5-6. I know because i’ve many times to coco ichibanya beforr. But this time was too spicy. My friends hated and left the food on the plate so we had to leave and eat somewhere else. No wonder why there’s no tourists in the shop even being at a famous...

We had a fantastic dinner at this little CoCo Ichibanya! It was after 10 years that I've returned to a coco ichibanya and what a lovely little restaurant in Sapporo close to Susikino station. There was a lovely young lady named Sakata who looked after us and gave us the best customer service experience. Both my 8yr. old son and I agree that it was a best experience. We enjoyed our dinner and appreciated the little things Sakata did to look after us especially my son (like giving him the honey sauce which he absolutely loved!) Thank you so much coco Ichibanya and thank you Sakata, we will remember our great experience here and someday return!!! Until then, thank you...
