Ishiyama Douri Coffee — Restaurant in Sapporo

Came in for brunch, as a person in my party wanted some drip coffee. Found this place just a short ten minute walk from our Airbnb (though it took a bit longer due to dragging our luggage through the snow).

The café is located up two short flight of stairs and is very cozy, but seems very Americanized, but that's probably what they're going for.

Jazz music playing gives it a nice relaxing atmosphere.

Despite not having a few of the items (such as the french toast and some of the cakes), everything we got was fresh and delicious.

We ordered chocolate coffee latte, cheese toast, royal ice milk tea (iced), chocolate cake, mild coffee and pizza toast, all made fresh to order.

The server was very accommodating and didn't complain when we ordered extra items.

This place is amazing. Feels very old school and a labour of love. Old school coffee shop, the type I've always imagined but never seen. The scent of coffee and tobacco. The jazz records playing, the dim lighting and the wood. Lovely.

Bit of a wait for my order and the place is far far too warm but I otherwise thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I must come here in short sleeves so I can stay longer without...

初めて行ったのですが店員さんの対応が酷くて悲しくなりました。 広い店内に客は僕1人、店員さんも1人の状況でした。 店員さんは座ったままで席の案内もしてくれずメニューも頂けなかったので 「メニューのようなものを頂けますか？」 と言ったらようやく無言で差し出されました。 商品を注文するときに 「〇〇ラテ頂けますか？」 と聞いたら 「いいよ。」 とタメ口で返されて不快でしたがこの人はタメ口で話すタイプの人なのかなと思い割り切りました。しかし、 僕の次に来店した若いカップル(常連さん？)にはめちゃめちゃ笑顔で明るく話しかけ敬語で接していたのでただただ客に差をつけて接する人でした。 ごちそうさまでしたと最後に言っても無言の対応でした。 非常に不愉快な思いになりました。 高評価のレビューの数を見るに一概に悪いお店じゃないんだと思いますがその分僕も普通の接客をして欲しかったなと思いました。 男性1人で初来店する時には注意が必要だと思います。 こういう思いをするお客さんが...
