Small local eatery with delicious food. It was busy with local people, so we were kindly told we would need to wait a long time before we ordered. We arrived at peak dinner service. Since the kind lady who owns the place doesn't speak English, a local gentleman that was sitting at the single seating kitchen bar, came over and explained that we would have to wait. The owner makes each dish by hand, so it generally takes longer than other restaurants. Once we got our food, it was really delicious and everything was fresh and made with care. I could see why so many locals in the restaurant were regular customers. If you want to experience how people may eat in their own neighborhood, this is a perfect example. To find the place, it is a little walk down a side street, easy to find using Google Maps, but worth the trip.

Happened on this place on the way back to our Airbnb after a day of exploring Sapporo and decided to stop in for dinner. One of the best decisions. The place is super local, as the menu does not have any English on it, and you can see, no English or other foreign language reviews on Google (not sure about Yelp). However, the little grandmother who runs the place is super sweet and makes probably the best ramen in the area, starting at ¥600 a bowl. There was a table of four older men who were already sitting inside having a grand old time, chatted us up and even gave my friend some beer. It made us feel super welcomed. I ordered the spicy ramen and she definitely delivered on that. Definitely stop in and discover some local Sapporo ramen!
