Kinotoya cafe — Restaurant in Sapporo

Kinotoya Cafe absolutely blew me away. I came by one evening and they were out of the famous cheese tarts—so I left empty-handed. The next day, on my way to the bus station, I swung back in and scored the last two of the day… and thank God I did. These cheese tarts are on another level—easily one of the best things I’ve ever tasted.

I paired them with the drinkable raw milk yogurt, which was the perfect combo—slightly sour, not too sweet, and made with fresh, local raw milk. You can taste the quality in every bite and sip.

In my week and a half traveling Japan, this was the best dessert I’ve had. Do not miss it—trust me, I’m American.

We arrived at New Chitose Airport for JR train to Kutchan… was thinking of getting bento set as lunch while on our train journey but unlike some trains in Taiwan that sell bento set lunch, JR train dun have it…

Left with about half an hour, we decided to grab some food nearby before we rushed to catch the train to Kutchan.

Came back for the Cheesecake Tart and try the other desserts. Everything was good. Not too sweet. The Cheesecake Tart and the Soft Milk Ice cream are still to die for. But in term collective desserts, the one that we had yesterday was amazing. This came a bit short overall.
