The perfect spot for meeting someone—or just getting lost in your own thoughts. Strangely enough, it seems like locals don’t know much about it, but tourists can totally enjoy it too: welcome to Morihiko.
I wish they had one of those community notebooks like at the main store—where you can write something, read what others have left behind, and even flip back to your old entries when you visit again.
The sofas, the lighting—just as lovely as in the photos. Honestly, good space design can make you feel genuinely happy. This place proves it.
I almost always end up having two cups of coffee. Sure, it’s delicious—but the real star here is the space itself. The upstairs café, Daphne, also feels like a hidden gem. Due to its location, I guess their target customers are more for people with time and money, people who want to have some quiet me-time over coffee, or people who wish to catch up with friends in a posh environment. It is shiny and posh, so different from original Morihiko's concept, but service was quite nice and furniture was so comfy. I did not have much time when I visited, but if I had more time, I would be happy to stay there and borrow a book from the library next to it. While coffee tasted good, but not exceptional and I would not be able to afford JPY700...
