Ramen Gantetsu Sapporo Station West — Restaurant in Sapporo

Awesome miso ramen... and the accompanying fried rice is deceptively good. Very consistent over the years. Very affordable too. English on the ticket machine is a welcome addition. Upgrading it from 4 stars to 5 today - the ramen is even better than i remember, and the best I've had in nearly a year. The chef must be on fire. Miso soup so rich and thick it's more like a gravy - but only in a good way, and unabashedly tasty. Noodles cooked to perfection with just the right amount of firmness and springiness. Pork slices with generous layers of tender, lean meat spaced with just the right amount of fat that melts away in the mouth. Bamboo shoots prepared and cooked properly. A visit to Sapporo is not complete...

I had the miso ramen with fried rice set & gyozai with beer set. Price wise seems reasonable, comparable with many Japanese ramen establishment.

The ramen was fine, the base was rather tasty for me. Gyozai was similar to some supermarket type, so wasn't that tasty. Fried rice was surprisingly nice, but some might find ingredients lacking (not enough egg pr meat etc).

As the store is under the railway, atmosphere might not be as conducive for fine dining, but I think it's alright for...

Loved both visits to Ramen Gantetsu during my wife and I's visit to Sapporo. The first time I got the spicy miso ramen with Gyoza and the second time I got the regular miso ramen. All the food we ordered was delicious , even if I am not a fan of bamboo. Ordering food at the ticket machine was easy and when we ran out of water they brought us more without us having to ask. 10/10,...
