One of the best ramens I’ve had, and totally worth the queues.

Traditional Sapporo ramen noodles - thicker, springy and chewy, and wavy yellow egg noodles. Perfect chew and holds on to the rich broth well.

The special traditional miso ramen uses a rich pork broth, which somehow manages an insanely layered and balanced symphony of flavours - deep umami, sweet bitterness and slight spiced.

The rich miso ramen uses a white chicken stock and encapsulates the best of traditional Sapporo miso ramen. Clearer, sweeter profiles of aka miso I’m guessing, and slightly less greasy than the former, equally satisfying.

Richer, thicker and greasier than I normally prefer, but so deeply layered and satisfying, I lapped up every drop of it (a rare occurrence with ramen) and savoured every calorie.

10/10 bowls that I’ll keep dreaming about till my next visit. Sapporo, being the birth place of miso ramen, surpassed my...

Foreigner from the US here.

Arrived at 1:30pm, waited in line until 2:00pm when I got inside (during the wait I also was allowed to order in advance before my turn to sit inside), and waited until 2:05pm to get my food.

I ordered the special traditional miso Ramen for 1380 yen which had pork slices, half a marinated egg, a couple nori slices, a topping of green onion, and a bunch of menma (bamboo). Pretty much takes the cake as a complete Ramen package but I must say it was a little bit fattier than I had expected miso Ramen to be. Still a 10/10.

To note, like most Ramen stores in japan, they have a machine that accepts cash only so make sure you bring in your...

What a wonderful experience with truly delicious ramen.

When you enter the restaurant, there’s a machine to your left. You can purchase ramen there, and hand the ticket to employees. The machine has some English text and pictures so it’s very easy to understand regardless of your native language.

We arrived at supposedly the busiest time, around 10pm. We waited about 10 minutes. They pulled out some extra seats for us to wait outside.

The ramen was to die for. I ordered the thick miso ramen and my friend ordered normal Sapporo miso. Both were full of flavor and a true pleasure to indulge in. The cha shu is also very good. Highly...
