Foreigners who don’t speak Japanese, AVOID THIS PLACE. The chef is blatantly racist and will not interact with you whatsoever. We were not greeted upon entering and the chef never once looked us in the eye even when he was working right in front of us. When he wasn’t cooking, he spent the whole time with his back facing us whilst he happily chatted and laughed loudly with his Japanese customers. He made his waitstaff serve us the entire time, even when he could’ve just handed us the completed dish. I have never felt so disrespected and invisible in my life.

There were tons of crab shells in my dish and I was served a broken handroll; he put no effort into our experience at all.

It’s obvious business is not good and he’s reliant on tourists to keep the place open, but to disrespect us like this whilst taking our money...

Easily the most regretful, embarrassing and awkward dining experience ever in my 50ish years of life.

The food was above average as it should be (barely at best), however at the same time the experience was totally ruined by the service level which can only be described to us as “you are not welcomed” sense of hospitality and hence a disappointing atmosphere.

First time ever, my wife quietly said to me in between dishes should we ask “if we have done something wrong”, and first time ever towards the end I felt so relieved when the chef said “this is all” without looking at us, which together has successfully prompted my first time ever dining review.

On the bright side though, there were many first times in one meal and surely a rare experience to have seen the...

Excellent Food, Disappointing Service

During my recent visit to this restaurant, I couldn't help but feel that the word "arrogant" fits the chef perfectly. While the taste of the food was undeniably top-notch, the service fell short. Compared to other establishments like Takao or Le Musee, the overall dining experience here was not as satisfying.

On a personal note, although some dishes were delightful, others were overly complicated and difficult to enjoy. If the chef, as mentioned in other reviews, believes that I "don't understand the taste," then perhaps my palate is simply too amateur for such refined cuisine.

In conclusion, while the food quality is high, the service and overall dining experience leave much...

This is my worst decision so far. We visited there with high expectations, and we left with the highest disappointment. We were the only customers that night, surprisingly the chef didn't even show up, he kept drinking with friends in the VIP room, and the whole dinner course was handled by a sous chef (I don't even think she qualifies as a commis chef). Seasonings were terrible, extremely salty, you can't taste the original taste of the ingredients. My palate was completely dead after a few courses. If you still insist on wasting your money there, keep an eye on the final bill. They can't even explain the final charges.
