Came here on the recommendation of a local that I met at a bar.
It's a bit tucked in between two buildings, but if I found it drunk, then you shouldn't have any issues with GPS.
Soup curry is apparently a specialty of the north and it's a damn shame. I've been trying to find something to fill this craving, but they just can't get the spices right! The appeal of soup curry is that it has the depth of a good broth that's intensified when it's thickened slightly into a curry form; not so thickened that it's heavy, just thick enough that it droops from your spoon.
Ordered the chicken and veggie curry with natto thrown in. There's a lot of veggies like okra and pumpkin tossed in and it goes great with the mellow sweetness of the curry. Natto usually has a strong bitter flavor, but thrown in the soup curry, it adopts a mild sweetness that makes it easy to eat. Can't go wrong with beans in soup.
Will definitely visit again when I'm back...
Read moreI recently visited Soup Curry Yellow and was thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. The ambience is fantastic, featuring a unique DJ setup and a collection of vinyl records that create a cool, relaxed atmosphere perfect for enjoying a meal.
We ordered three dishes: the Chicken and Vegetable Curry, Fried White Fish Curry , and Grilled Pork Curry. Each dish was fantastic, showcasing the restaurant's unique take on soup curry. The Chicken and Vegetable Curry is flavorful and hearty, while the Fried White Fish was light yet satisfying. The standout for me was the Grilled Pork—crispy on the outside and soft, succulent on the inside. The balance of textures and flavors was truly exceptional.
Overall, it was a great dining experience, and I look forward to trying more dishes on my next visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy unique and delicious soup...

As a person who regularly eats indian food i though to try the medium spice level (3.5). A big mistake because, while i could it eat, the spiciness was totally overpowering and masked the great flavour of the dish. My partner ordered one level above mild (2) and even that was too much. She ordered some extra mild/no spices soup, like the waitress recommended so as to not order a whole new dish and she couldn't even eat that. It's a shame because it was really tasty but if you can't eat it what's the point. No spice level being spicy is an inaccuracy to...
