The food was amazing and the owner was really friendly. I arrived for lunch with some friends, and the owner took a picture of us outside the restaurant after eating. We tried to come back in the evening, but it was already close to closing time, and all the seats were taken. The owner, who didn't recognize us at first, went outside and told us we couldn't go in because there were too many of us. After he recognized us as the people who came in earlier, he insisted we stayed, but we decided to leave to let him close on time. I came back the next day.

The cook/waiter/maybe owner(?) is a one-man army and when asked when do they close, he responded “no rules” - he decides when to close (in my case at around 9 pm). And wow, the food is delicious. The gyoza and edamame one of the best I’ve tried and the Takayama ramen simple yet flavorful and tasteful. I had to wait a bit to get a spot as it only has 7 seats so I would suggest walking by and seeing if it is free. Portions are a bit small, and the owner didn’t mention that if people are waiting outside you have to order everything at the start, so we couldn’t add dishes later. He also isn’t very friendly or talkative, maybe because he works alone, but the vibe could be warmer.
