After 14+ dsys in Japan, our Indian taste buds were really longing for "home" food! We went to Royal Nan House with very low expectations on the quality but just to get a "taste" of desi food!!
Well, to say that we were deeply disappointed would be huge understatement. The mutton curry was probably worse than they serve in a prison cell in india - it had virtually no meat in it and the curry was basically water with spices thrown in. The daal had no flavor and the channa masala - less said the better!! The so called mixed vegetable curry was essentially onions with a couple of vegetable pieces thrown in. The saving grace of the whole meal was the naan and the chowmein. They were both better than average!!
To my fellow travellers - if you are absolutely dying for a taste of indian food, then go ahead with this place. I would recommend the naan with some grilled/ tandoori meats (if you are non vegetarian) or with samosas (if you are a vegetarian) i.e. avoid all curries!! Read moreThe owner is a bit disrespectful and ignorant. We ate twice from this restaurant. First instance was a dine in on a busy night at the restaurant and service was slow despite having enough manpower. We spent close to 2 hours before finishing up. The restaurant exhaust was not operational and smoke was filled in the dining area making it very uncomfortable, heating was not operational too and legs were freezing. Had to ask twice for a glass of water, despite requesting the owner first filled two glasses of water and served it to other table and literally forgot to serve us and I had to ask another server to get a glass of water for my daughter, for three guests got only one glass of water. The second instance was a take away, the owner was not there this time and it was a quite time at the restaurant. The cook served the order and it was handed over in less than 25 mins. Service was prompt and friendly this time. If crowded better opt for a take away. Food tastes above average. Vegetarian...
Read moreSorry to tell but this was the most pathetic restaurant I have eaten my food. These guys sell food in the name of Indian restaurant who are actually Nepalis. Gives us rotten chicken and argues that it was fresh. Me being a doctor I can differentiate between the rotten chicken and a frozen one. Taste is worst Please don’t get fooled seeing the reviews. Being an Indian I was ashamed of these guys selling out damaged food in the name of Indian restaurant I’ve been eating food from different Indian restaurants in Japan and these guys are the worst Please don’t get ur stomach upset while travelling by having food from this place.
Even though I complained these guys are least bothered to even apologise. Rude and arrogant behaviour. Most irresponsible and aggressive people
Being an Indian I’m sorry for people...
