The food was absolutely delicious, it can't be faulted. The service however was different, at first they were friendly however after ordering the food it felt like we were being pushed out the door before we had even finished.

As amazing as the food was it felt like our presence was unwanted, the food portion sizes were so small that you'd be better filled eating a happy meal from McDonald's so after trying to order more they appeared reluctant to serve us but they did it anyways.

I would 100% go back again for how good the food was but unfortunately I probably won't because it appears to not really be a place that welcomes tourists, sort of a locals only kind of place if that's sense. Last criticism is for how small the portions were it was incredibly expensive, for 4 of us it cost $160 Australian dollars and for that price we all still left hungry. Very disappointing experience...

**Cash only!!! We made the mistake of showing up with only cards (as tourists do) but the ladies very graciously allowed one of us to stay as collateral while the others ran to an ATM.

Food and service was great as expected. There was a table with in-floor cutouts to accommodate for those who can't sit cross-legged, but they would still have to be able to scooch over the entrance/mats.

Prices very reasonable given quality of food, coming from someone used to Canadian CoL and expecting a potential tourist markup. They offer menus in English (and possibly Chinese), but do bring google translate if you don't speak Japanese and anticipate needing to communicate more than menu...

Perfect destination for a Japanese BBQ! Not far from the train station and is ran by two cute aunties. Menu is available in English and is easy to understand. Meat cuts were delicious, juicy and affordable. We had several HIDA beef cuts, beef liver cuts, pork cuts, kimchi, kimchi cucumber and Korean pancake, rice, and from drinks beer and ginger ale. Everything was delicious.

I only wish there was more condiments like BBQ sauce or wasabi, but it doesn’t really matter when you have a full plate of HIDA...

If you are ever in town and want to eat Hida beef, domestic Wagyu beef, and US Angus beef among a lot others, you must come to this place. Is the best value-for-money yakiniku. The shop is run by aunties, and they are the sweetest, even with the difference in languages they have an English menu and they are happy to serve you. The service was fast and they served us right before closing and for this we are thankful. Please try their kimchi, is the best one I've had so far on my Japan trip. I would be returning 100%.
